Buoy for University of Maine’s Offshore Marine Project

Alexanders provided complex fabrication services to support the manufacture of UMaine’s buoy-based floating LIDAR system, a unit designed to collect deep-water offshore hub-height wind and other metocean measurements in the Gulf of Maine.

“I was impressed with your flexibility and your in-house capabilities that allowed us to make design changes during the build phase.  And thank you for the long hours and the late nights you committed to meeting our tight deadline. Your customer service and the quality of your work were key to the success of this project.”
